What we do
COVEY provides a range of service for young people in South Lanarkshire. Currently funded by South Lanarkshire Council and a range of private organisations including the Robertson Trust, the Moffat Charitable Trust, Lloyds TSB Foundation and the William Grant and Sons Youth Opportunities Fund (as administered by the Scottish Community Foundation).
One to One Befriending - for vulnerable young people aged 7-16 including young people who are accommodated.
Xp& (Expand) - educational and recreational group programmes for befrienders and their young people.
Chance for Change - an older young person (usually aged 14-18) befriends another young person with the support of an adult befriender.
School Befriending - one to one befriending to provide support and a listening ear to young people who are experiencing difficulties in the school environment.
Group activities for befrienders and their young people.
Holiday programme of outings for young people.
Occasional residential activities.
